The XXth competition of research works among students of educational institutions will be held in the Minsk region on October 28, BelTA learned from the Education Department of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee.

Schoolchildren of grades 5-11, as well as students of vocational and technical, secondary specialized and special education institutions were invited to participate. This year the contest will be held at three venues.

The work of the sections on astronomy, informatics, history, mathematics, labor training, physics, and social studies will be organized at the Minsk Regional Institute of Education Development.

In the secondary school # 1 of Fanipol there will be placed sections of humanitarian knowledge, natural science disciplines, linguistics (Russian and Belarusian languages), and literary studies (Russian and Belarusian literature).

The sections on English, German, French, Spanish, philology and regional studies, as well as biology, geography of the 21st century and chemistry will work in the Zaslavsky grammar school.

Among the main objectives of the competition is to attract students to research activities, to promote their professional self-determination, to identify research works oriented to practical implementation in the social sphere and industry. The organizers of the event are the Education Department of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee, the Minsk Regional Institute for the Development of Education, the Education, Sports and Tourism Departments of the Mountain and District Executive Committees, the institutions of general secondary, vocational and technical, secondary specialized and special education.
