More than 4,000 proposals on the amendments and additions to Belarus' Constitution have been received from the population, Head of the Belarus President Administration Igor Sergeyenko told the media during a meeting to discuss the draft Constitution at Belarusian State Medical University on 11 January, BelTA has learned.
“We can see an active interest in the Constitution amendments and additions. Different categories of citizens both in rural and urban areas demonstrate this interest. As of today, we have received more than 4,000 proposals concerning the draft amendments. The Legal Information Center analyses incoming information and summarizes it on a daily basis. There are proposals that will be considered at the meeting of the working group and the Constitutional Commission. The number of proposals supporting the Constitution draft prevails. There are also negative ones that propose nothing instead,” said Igor Sergeyenko.
The highest interest is in articles related to social policy, the head of the Belarus President Administration. Citizens are concerned about whether the basic guidelines of the state will be preserved. People are also interested in the functions and powers of the Belarusian People's Congress.
During the meeting at Belarusian State Medical University, students and academic staff will get familiar with the draft amendments and additions to the Constitution.

In 2021, a record increase in the number of residents of the Great Stone Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park was recorded. First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov told reporters this, BelTA has learned.
“In 2021, although this is both a sanctioned and a post-rule year, we actually saw a record increase in residents - 21 residents registered in the park. Today there are 85 of them, of which 43 are from the People's Republic of China with a total investment of $ 1.2 billion. to all the complexities of the world agenda and external aggressive influences on our country, we see that active relations with China are being implemented. This will be the case in the future, "Nikolai Snopkov emphasized.
He said that cooperation of Belarusian enterprises with large Chinese corporations continues and as an example he mentioned MAZ-Weichai, joint projects for the production of auto components and electronics are being implemented. In addition, the Great Stone Park will actively develop cooperation in the field of pharmaceuticals, in particular, through traditional Chinese medicine and the production of a vaccine against COVID-19.

Belarus has produced a pilot series of Sputnik V and Sputnik Light full-cycle vaccines, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Healthcare Ministry.
“Belmedpreparaty company has completed an important stage of a joint Belarusian-Russian project - full-cycle production of Sputnik V vaccine. On 22 December the Belarusian enterprise produced the first validation series of Sputnik V and Sputnik Light,” said the press service.
This batch is scheduled to be sent to the Gamaleya Institute in Russia for quality control on 23 December. “These samples will be used to study the stability of the vaccine during storage,” the press service said.
