Over 100 energy-saving measures are planned to be implemented in Minsk in 2019, the head of the city administration for the supervision of rational use of fuel and energy resources, Igor Tur, told a meeting of the working group on maintenance and landscaping in the capital, BelTA has learned.
In 2018, the city saved, thanks to energy saving, more than 170.5 thousand tons of equivalent fuel, or almost $ 37.5 million, the figure for energy saving was minus 4.8%, and for the share of local fuel and energy resources in boiler and furnace fuel - 1.67 %.
"The savings over the three years of the state program implementation exceeded 524 thousand tons of conditional fuel ($ 114 million in equivalent). That is, half of the thermal energy for the population in 2018 was generated by savings over the previous two years," said Igor Tur.
Among the most significant energy saving measures in 2018, he called the reconstruction of boiler rooms on ul. Lynkovo (UE "Minskkommunteploset"), at the Sergeevich Peat Briquette Plant (UE "Mingaz"), commissioning of the 4th start-up complex of the Kedyshko boiler-house ("Minskoenergo"), modernization of central heating units and heating networks, etc. In 2019, energy-saving the projects are implemented by the enterprises of housing and public utilities, Mingorsvet, Minskvodokanal, Minskenergo, MTZ, MAZ, Minsk Bearing Plant, etc.
