The center of active longevity in Minsk plans to implement a startup for the employment of pensioners, said the director of the Center for Active Longevity Elena Demidova.
The essence of a startup is that the Center on an ongoing basis will act as a link between the employer and its future employees - experienced and active people over 50 years old. Also at its base can be trained and retraining for the needs of employers who are ready to hire people of age.
The idea was inspired by the first experience of such activities: the institution acted as a partner of the project “Senior Specialist”, becoming a platform for training future administrators for a pharmacy chain. The graduation ceremony of the project participants will take place on May 17th and five people will be employed.
This triggered the continuation of work to promote the employment of active retirees: at present, the Center for Active Longevity is looking for workers for an agricultural estate in the Volozhin district. Here, for people of retirement age, we have developed a special recreation program, The Eldest Shift. It remains to find the "pioneer leader" and caretakers of the estate - a married couple aged 50+. On April 24, a meeting with an employer has been scheduled at the Center for active Minsk residents interested in this vacancy. After this, interviews will take place - and in May the first “Senior Shift” is scheduled to arrive.

Of course, you will need time to overcome ageism, but we are ready to work on it."
