More than 60 pottery masters gathered for the regional festival-competition “Clay Gingle”

About 60 potters and masters of small clay clay came here from different regions of the Minsk region to demonstrate their creative abilities, modeling techniques, artistic taste, meet like-minded people, share the secrets of craftsmanship.

Evgeny Leontyevich Polinovsky - master ceramist. He devoted a significant part of his life to schoolchildren: he taught them to draw and sculpt from clay. Currently, he leads the ceramic group of the State Institution "District Center for Folk Art" in Borisov, which is attended by 8 teenagers. Together with his students, Evgeny Leontyevich actively participates in exhibitions at various regional events, conducts master classes. He brought the most talented students to the contest in Ivenets: Anastasia Tamashevich, Diana Domracheva and Anastasia Krinitskaya. According to the nomination, within three hours, the contestants produced a sculptural composition for the Belarusian song “Kasіn Yas Kanyushynu”. As a result of the competition, each of the participants received a diploma for active participation, and the creative team led by E.L. Polinovsky became a 3rd degree diploma for the best compositional solution of products in the technique of Belarusian ceramics.

Another participant Vera Kolendo is a master ceramist, the head of the workshop of the center of traditional culture. In the nomination “decorative clay plastic” she made and presented the ceramic candlestick “Tsmok”. The work of the master was awarded a jury diploma of the competition.

Products made by potters and ceramists remained on the Ivenets land, where after completion (drying and firing) they will take their place of honor in the hall of the museum of traditional culture.

At the exhibition and sale, it was possible to purchase the work of local artists: pots, bowls, jugs, flowerpots, whistles, toys and other products.
Famous folk music collectives in the Minsk region, folklore herds from Ivenets and Volozhin gave a festive mood.
