The first batch of haul trucks BelAZ 75137 is about to be shipped to India, the press service of the Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ told BelTA.
The first batch includes eight trucks. Four trucks have already been sent while another four will be sent on their way to India by the end of January. The vehicles are part of a major contract for the delivery of 77 haul trucks. BelAZ and Coal India Limited signed the contract in October 2019.
According to the source, the Indian market is a promising area for BelAZ to explore. The shipment of haul trucks to the coal quarry Gevra represents the first confident step towards stronger BelAZ presence in India.
A modern maintenance center for BelAZ trucks will be built near the quarry. BelAZ will offer spare parts and maintenance for eight years as part of the contract.
