Chairman of Minsk Oblast Executive Committee Alexander Turchin visited the factory in Zaslavl. An enterprise specializing in the production of knitwear and underwear was transformed for a while. Now they will produce medical masks.

Alexander Turchin was shown two models of medical disposable masks that Mark Formelle has already begun to produce. Visiting the enterprise, the head of the region noted that he was grateful to the company for this work:

— We will send these masks to the pharmacy network for sale to the public, as well as to medical institutions. In addition, the company has mastered the production of protective overalls, arm ruffles and shoe covers. The main thing is to satisfy the need of both medical institutions and the population for personal protective equipment. It is necessary to make sure that every person who comes to the pharmacy understands that he can buy masks and disinfectants. And so that there are no problems with this. People should feel calm and confident,” said Alexander Turchin.

The chairman of Minsk Oblast Executive Committee also said that in Luban, disinfectant was poured on the premises of the Kristall branch, the first batch of which was delivered to one of the regional medical institutions. In some other district centers, many organizations also began to sew medical masks.

— We are committed to ensuring that relevant companies do this. But if problems arise in terms of production volumes, we will also connect other actors. As I know, many private companies are ready to supply personal protection equipment to medical institutions of the country for their own money. This allows us to say that our business is socially responsible, ”said Alexander Turchin.

Speaking about the production volumes of medical masks, the founder of the Mark Formelle group of companies Andrei Serikov said:

— They agreed that from April 9, production will reach a capacity of 50 thousand masks per day, and from April 13, 100 thousand masks and 15 thousand overalls. Almost all production we reprofiled.

Five sites of the enterprise are engaged in the production of masks, the main production is concentrated in Starye Dorogi.

Branded masks are already sold in Mark Formal stores. The first batch (about 15 thousand pieces) went on sale on March 30 and sold on the website and at branded points in a couple of days. A bullet-man, the protagonist of the “anticoronavirus” collection, was applied to the masks. In the near future, a second batch of products will begin to arrive in stores in stages.
