A solemn ceremony of laying the symbolic stone of the Torch project of the Chinese Sinomach Corporation took place in the Sino-Belorussian Industrial Park Great Stone. The event was attended by the administration of the industrial park, representatives of Belarusian ministries, as well as corporations.

As one of the leaders in Chinese industry, Sinomach is implementing the One Belt, One Way Science and Technology Innovation Action Plan. The Torch project will build on the benefits of the Great Stone Industrial Park. The implementation will promote scientific and technical cooperation between Sinomach and Chinese research centers with leading Belarusian companies to create an international innovation platform.

Deputy Minister of Economics Elena Perminova noted that the implementation of the Fakel project is not only a $ 20 million investment, but also over 200 new jobs.

— “Torch” will create scientific and technological competition and innovative developments. And these are precisely the pillars that stimulate the progress of the country's socio-economic development. As the Head of State noted earlier, in the next five-year period it is necessary to involve science more actively in the country's development, given the increasing level of technological competition in the world, said Elena Perminova.

The head of the administration of the China-Belarus Great Stone Industrial Park Alexander Yaroshenko recalled that on May 12 the innovation cluster is celebrating its fifth anniversary. On this day, the site was visited by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and Chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping.

— During this time, our park has changed. Today, dozens of residents from more than a dozen countries work here. We are launching the Fakel project. Of course, we are all sure that such a project as a center of innovation will become a real decoration of the Great Stone,” said Alexander Yaroshenko.

Sinomachbel CEO Jiang Yanin agreed with the partner. This company became the first resident of the park in 2020.

— “Torch” testifies to firm confidence in the high-quality development of the “Great Stone” in the future. Fakel Park will be located at the very entrance to the industrial cluster - on Minsk Avenue. This place is a key zone of the park, which 5 years ago was visited by the leaders of Belarus and China. We want to turn the Torch into a unique scientific, technical and innovative business platform. We will make every effort to apply the highest standards in its construction and will try to put it into operation as soon as possible. We will also contribute to the development of high-tech production at the Great Stone,” concluded Jing Yanin.

We add that they plan to implement the project no later than 2022.
