Sports complex "Raubichi" claims to host the biathlon world championship in 2025.

According to Raubichi Republican Center for Olympic Winter Sports, the International Biathlon Union (IBU) announced the candidate cities that have submitted applications for holding the 2024 and 2025 Biathlon World Championships.

In addition to our country, the Swiss city of Lenzerheide and the Czech Nove Mesto also claim the right to take the world championship in 2025. The latter is also a candidate for the championship in 2024.⠀ ⠀

The final decision will be made at the 14th regular IBU Congress, which will be held in Prague from November 13 to 15.⠀

It is worth noting that the Raubichi sports complex has already hosted the Biathlon World Championship three times - in 1974, 1982 and 1990 and the 2019 Summer Biathlon World Championship. Also last season the European Championship and IBU Cup were held here. In addition, in March 2022, a World Cup stage is planned.⠀
