Today, the 150,000th Borisov resembles a large construction site. For its more than nine hundred year history, the city has not seen at the same time such an abundance of construction and road equipment. Drivers have already appreciated the quality of the new bridge across the Berezina, the old one is next in line. One of the main transit arteries, Gagarin Street, has also noticeably changed. The construction of such a children's hospital for the region is continuing. What else will be affected by the large-scale renewal in the city? MLYN.BY writes about this, referring to Sergey Krulikovsky, director of the UKS of Borisov region.

- Sergey Leonidovich, the region is expected to implement such important projects for the city as the reconstruction of Gagarin Street, the construction of a bridge across the Berezina, the construction of a training ice arena and other no less significant facilities. What stage are they at?

- One of the main objects in the region is the reconstruction of Gagarin Street, it is also the P53 Sloboda-Novosady highway. If we talk about the road itself, without associated facilities to it, the construction will take place in 6 stages. Traffic in the first, second, third and fourth sections of the road is already open. Soon the whole road will be six-lane. The construction of the first underground pedestrian crossing was also completed. Its walls are decorated with historical photos of Borisov, placed behind glass. Surveillance cameras hang around the perimeter. There is a special elevator for people with disabilities. To use it, helpers are not needed.

The construction of an overpass at the intersection of Revolution Avenue and Gagarin Street is also nearing completion. It was improved to improve traffic. Active work is underway on the next, fifth, stage of road reconstruction - a section from the intersection of Maxim Gorky to Rosa Luxemburg. As part of the same line, the construction of a second underpass is also planned - at the intersection of Maxim Gorky and Gagarin.

The improvement of Gagarin Street itself continues. There appeared bike paths, pedestrian walkways, squares. Bus pavilions with interactive monitors appear, where all information about traffic will be located. By the way, the famous monument to the crew of Pavel Rak will move to the opposite side from the place where it was located. A square will appear nearby.

As for the bridge across the Berezina, a new one has already been opened, now the old one is in line. By the way, there is an idea to make another underground passage in the area of the Korona store. There it is planned to build an Ice Rink and the movement, as you know, will be intense.

- In addition to these facilities, work is underway in Borisov to expand the road on Vatutin Street. Already started laying the top layer. And they do it with new technologies. Share the details of a city-unique styling.

- In parallel with the construction of the P53 motorway, we began to expand the highway to Vatutina (from the intersection with Gagarin Street and to Lucy Chalovskaya Street). It will be a four-lane, with a pedestrian zone, bike paths, traffic lights regulation, public transport will go here.

Work to expand the road started in April. Now we are engaged in laying the so-called “pillow”, which, by the way, will be made of monolithic cement concrete and limited to the concrete side. There was no such road in Borisov yet. The general contractor for the work here is SMT-8 OJSC of the DSU-64 branch. They are now laying a leveling layer of asphalt mix on the Vatutin road. And already on top of it they will cover with concrete 24 cm thick. The thickness of the whole pie (base and cover with pavement) will be more than half a meter. Such "concrete" laying will further reduce the operating costs of its maintenance.

Another important building for the city is being built here - a children's multidisciplinary building. At what stage is his construction and when will he receive the first patients?

- A children's hospital is needed in our region. The object is a large, complex configuration. The building is a four-story building with basement and technical floors of complex configuration. Designed for 116 seats. The facade will sparkle with green and light green tones - it will look harmoniously with the neighboring buildings of the district hospital. Construction is underway. Around 150 people are involved in the construction. The general contractor is OJSC SU 153. We have already begun decorating and installing communications. After the completion of construction, it is planned to improve the adjacent territory and create a guest parking. We hope that in 2021 the hospital will receive the first patients.

In addition to those that you have listed, microdistricts of the new promising buildings “Lyadishche 1”, “Lyadishche 2” and “River” (in the old part of the city beyond the Skha River) are also being developed. A detailed plan for Lyadische 1 is already in place, trunk networks are being developed and project documentation for residential buildings is being prepared. And proceed to the construction of high-rise buildings.

Yes, while Borisov looks like a large construction site. But a couple of years will pass - and the city will appear in all its glory.

Last year, Borisov hosted the regional holiday of workers of the village "Dazhinki". For this event, large-scale construction work was carried out in the city. Overhaul of the building of the Palace of Culture was made, the facades of healthcare and educational institutions were updated, a modern school with 720 places was built with a swimming pool, fitness equipment and gyms.

Awaiting reconstruction, the historical center of Borisov. The main changes will affect the 900th anniversary of Borisov, where the Holy Resurrection Cathedral is located. They plan to equip two pedestrian streets there: Dzerzhinsky and Komsomolskaya. They will be laid out with paving stones. The area at the cathedral will be improved, small architectural forms, lanterns and benches will be installed. Buildings adjacent to Cathedral Square will also be put in order. The building of the Pobeda cinema, located here, will also play in a new light. It will turn into a multifunctional center. The registry office will also be moved there.
