A meeting was held at Minsk Regional Executive Committee, at which issues were considered on measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee for Social Issues Ivan Markevich. He immediately outlined the main topic of the meeting - ensuring human health in the face of a new epidemic rise in seasonal infections, including coronavirus, and also drew attention to the fact that it is necessary to ensure the safe storage and use of oxygen in medical institutions, and adherence to all safety procedures. The condition and readiness of the bed fund is also important.

Also, Deputy Minister of Health - Chief Sanitary Doctor of Belarus Alexander Tarasenko was invited to the meeting. He noted that in the medical institutions of the Minsk region there is a supply of personal protective equipment from a month to two, therefore, the information spread by some messengers and the media about the shortage of PPE is fake.

Igor Karpov, chief freelance specialist in infectious diseases of the Ministry of Health, noted that the disease itself is already clinically represented by doctors. In his opinion, it is now necessary to organize call centers. This work can include students who can call sick people who are at home, and once a day or two ask about their well-being.

- When doctors are in "armor", they take care of themselves. Chief physicians should think about where doctors eat, drink tea and coffee. Because these areas must be clean. Remember that there is no point in excessive antibiotic therapy. Antibiotics do not work on viruses, Igor Karpov summed up.

He also stressed that the sanitary and epidemiological regime in the clinic must be observed.

Yuri Gorbich, head of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Children's Infections at BelMAPO, noted that in some hospitals, doctors neglect the sanitary and epidemiological regime. Specialists from Cherven, Berezino, Borisov, Soligorsk should pay attention to this. According to statistics from American specialists, each sick health worker "takes with him" 6-10 people for sick leave.

The head of the department of anesthesiology, resuscitation and intensive therapy of the Minsk Scientific and Practical Center for Surgery, Transplantology and Hematology, Alexander Dzyadzko, noted that the Minsk Regional Hospital should take on the role of coordinator in the work of regional medical institutions. The work of the rest, inconspicuous branches should not stop either.
