Young novice performers from all over the Minsk region have gathered in Borisov today. The reason is the desire to participate in competitions within the framework of the XXX International Festival of Arts “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk”. According to one of the jury members, the regional tour in the Minsk region was the most difficult in comparison with others. In the morning to register at the Palace of Culture. M. Gorky, the vocalists and their support groups were in a hurry with costumes and props: music directors, relatives, friends, dancers. 12 people aged 8 to 14 took part in the qualifying round for the ХIX International Children's Music Competition "VITEBSK-2021". To participate in the XXX International Pop Song Performers Competition "VITEBSK-2021" 18 vocalists from 18 to 31 years old came to audition.

- Unfortunately, the epidemiological situation has made its own adjustments: initially there were more applications. Nevertheless, it is gratifying that 7 performers from the Borisov district are taking part in the selection. The performers were evaluated by real professionals headed by the chairman of the Union of Composers of the Republic of Belarus, a member of the repertoire commission of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, a member of the expert commission of the special fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for the support of talented youth, chairman of the cycle commission “Variety Art. Singing "of the educational institution" Minsk State College of Arts "Elena Atrashkevich.

From the very beginning, it became clear that the main weapons of the participants were their mastery of voice, artistry and charisma. From the very first seconds, the jury members listened attentively to the contestants, observed their ability to stay on stage, made notes. Influenced the final result and the choice of repertoire. Both well-known hits and unfamiliar songs sounded from the stage - each participant sang two songs in Russian, Belarusian, English and even in Italian.

One of the judges, a songwriter, a member of the Writers' Union of the Republic of Belarus, laureate of the national music award "Lira", composer Oleg Zhukov said that words are very important in any song. Therefore, in his opinion, compositions in not everyone understands a foreign language is a deliberately losing choice.

As a result, Daniil Kulgavy and Vladislav Gruzdov (Borisov), Denis Shiman (Molodechno), Varvara Bunkevich and Alesya Vitols (Minsk State College of Arts) successfully passed the regional stage to the children's music competition.

According to the jury, Karina Romysh and Kamadei Nikita (Zhodino), Alexandra Makolskaya and Daniil Myshkovets (Minsk State College of Arts), and Daria Smantser (Krupki) became the best vocalists of the Minsk region for the pop song contest. Congratulations and wish you continued success!
