Belarus is expected to harvest 7 million tonnes of potatoes in 2019. Of them 45,000 tonnes will be placed into the stabilization fund. Over 500,000 tonnes of potatoes will be sold abroad.
“We are set to keep the momentum of the previous year and earn some $50 million [in the export of potatoes],” said Aleksei Bogdanov.
In his words, Belarus actively supplies foreign markets with both food and seed potatoes. “In H1 2019, the export totaled some 1,000 tonnes,” Aleksei Bogdanov said.
