Belarus will get this year's intended volume of oil from Russia by the end of the year, BelTA learned from Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Igor Lyashenko after the session of the working group on cooperation between Belarus and Russia's Republic of Tatarstan on 1 October.
Asked whether the polluted Russian oil situation has affected cooperation with Tatarstan, the official said: “The incident only disrupted deliveries for a period of time. The deliveries have been virtually restored. Belarus will get the intended volumes of oil for processing by the end of the year.”
Talking about current matters of Belarus-Russia cooperation that merit close attention, the official mentioned shipments of machines, vehicles, and equipment to Russia. In his words, the matter will be raised at a meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak. “My work with Dmitry Nikolayevich Kozak involves extending the regime of subsidies for Belarusian machines and vehicles into 2020. It will allow laying down the groundwork for keeping and even increasing deliveries of vehicles to Tatarstan and other parts of Russia,” Igor Lyashenko specified.
BelTA reported earlier that Belarusian oil refineries intended to process 18 million tonnes of oil from Russia in 2019.
