Belarusian Ivatsevichdrev to boost furniture output threefold

The Belarusian woodworking company Ivatsevichdrev will increase its furniture output by three times thanks to new equipment, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian timber, woodworking, pulp and paper industry concern Bellesbumprom.

“The enterprise will shortly commission modern advanced equipment from the world's leading manufacturers, which will help increase its furniture production capacity by three times to 200,000 items a year. The decision to expand the capacity of the furniture-making facility was made by the company's senior managers to satisfy a steadily growing demand in the domestic and foreign markets,” the press service said.

Ivatsevichdrev sells 57% of its total output abroad. Major export markets are Poland, Latvia, Canada, the USA, Kazakhstan, Russia, Czechia, and Mongolia. The enterprise operates its own sales network in Belarus that accounts for around 30% of sales. The rest is sold via various furniture centers and stores as well as the company's online store.

Ivatsevichdrev is one of Belarus' largest manufacturers of chipboard, including laminated chipboard. Its manufacturing facility operates at full capacity. The range of products includes more than 100 styles of lamination with various embossing. The furniture-making facility works to a shift schedule.

Ivatsevichdrev employs around 1,000 people. More jobs will be created when the company increases its production capacity. As many as 97.89% of the shares belong to Belarus.
