Housing and communal services enterprises of Minsk region will be able to abandon the use of natural gas in boiler houses

The enterprises of housing and communal services of Minsk region in the coming years will be able to abandon the use of natural gas in boiler houses. Energy facilities of each regional center will fully operate on local types of fuel.

These are, for example, wood chips and peat. A new boiler house with a capacity of 12 megawatts is already operating in Stolbtsy, and the most powerful facility in the central region is next in line - a new boiler house with a capacity of 21 megawatts in Borovlyany. Another promising and large-scale project is planned to be implemented in Soligorsk. There, power engineers use waste from wood processing as a local fuel.

It should be noted that 35 new boilers using local fuels will be built in all regions of Belarus in the next five years.
