New Year and Christmas holidays are a time of surprises and joyful events. One of these happened today in the town of Krivichi, Myadel region. Natural gas was supplied to the multi-apartment housing stock. The ceremonial launch was attended by Chairman of Minsk Oblast Executive Committee Alexander Turchin and Minister of Energy of Belarus Viktor Karankevich.

- This is a very important event in the life of Myadel region. We recently opened a village school in Zanarochi, now we are starting up gas in Krivichi. Gasification will continue in the future, including in your area. There are still large settlements here that do without natural gas. But it is very important, including for the development of production and agriculture. I am grateful to the builders for the work done and new opportunities for Krivican residents, - said Alexander Turchin.

As Viktor Karankevich emphasized, today is a truly historic moment. Krivichi is the last urban settlement in the country that did not have blue fuel. Therefore, the event is valuable many times over.

The head of the central region and the Minister of Energy presented well-deserved awards to representatives of the construction and energy industries, who have made a great contribution to gasification. Alexander Turchin awarded Mikhail Belkevich, deputy general director of the production unitary enterprise "Minskoblgaz", with a Certificate of Merit of Minsk Regional Executive Committee. The gratitude of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee was announced to the head of the gas supply systems operation service in the Myadel region of the Molodechno production department of RUE Minskoblgaz .

At the opening ceremony, the governor, the minister and other government officials and the energy industry lit a torch bowl, symbolizing the arrival of "blue fuel" in the urban village on the eve of 2021.

By the way, the project, which was launched at the end of September, was planned to be implemented in February. However, the builders, and several contractors were engaged in the work at once, decided to make a gift to local residents for the New Year and completed it ahead of schedule. A total of 29.25 km of the supply gas pipeline was laid. By the way, 5.5 million rubles were allocated from the own funds of UE Minskoblgaz to finance the construction. The rest of the costs were shared by the members of the Krivichi-Gaz cooperative. Initially, it included 133 homeowners. And now their number exceeds 150. In total, in Krivichi there are about 500 multi-apartment buildings.

Gasification of Myadel District began in 2002. Now the supply of natural gas here is carried out in 24 settlements. 6369 households of citizens were transferred to it, of which 1289 are in rural areas. Gasification of the Krivichi was carried out within the framework of the program “Construction of gas pipelines according to the List of agricultural towns and urban settlements of the Minsk region, subject to gasification in (2020-2021).
