The XXI research competition for students of the Minsk region will be held on October 27, BelTA learned from the Minsk Regional Institute for Educational Development.

More than 700 works of young scientists from institutions of general secondary and vocational education in the central region were announced for participation in the competition. According to the decision of the jury, 253 of the most interesting studies will be presented in the final of the regional stage, including projects of schoolchildren from Lithuania.

For students in the 5th - 7th grades, there will be sections in philology, history, local history, physics, mathematics, and natural sciences. Young scientists actively studied the history of their small homeland, diffusion, kinetic sand, the influence of smells on human memory and much more. In turn, students of the 8th - 11th grades considered the dependence of the harvest of vegetable crops on planting methods, the state and prospects for the development of the agro-industrial complex in Belarus, drew attention to methods for producing graphitoplasty and methods of disinfecting water in emergency situations. Also, the guys made a liquid wallpaper and a chemical refrigerator, created a mobile application "Ion exchange reactions", a battery on peat ash and an automatic watering system.

The program also includes a literary quest, an open lecture on “How to make a car unmanned?”, master classes in decorative and applied art.

The sections will simultaneously work at four sites: at the Minsk Regional Institute for Educational Development, Minsk State Regional Lyceum, the secondary school No. 1 of Fanipol (Dzerzhinsky District) and the secondary school No. 1 of Zaslavl (the Minsk District). Traditionally, with the help of an online broadcast at the meeting of the sections on history, physics, astronomy and labor training, everyone will be able to attend. Evaluate the work of young researchers will be doctors and candidates of science, specialists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the National Institute of Education, the Republican Institute of Higher Education, BSU, the Academy of Postgraduate Education, the Academy of Management under the President of the Republic of Belarus, MGLU, BSPU. Maxim Tank, other leading educational institutions of the country. The winners of the competition will present the capital region at the republican competition of research papers of students in 2019.
