In terms of commodity turnover, following the results of 2018, Belarus retained the fourth place among all trading partners of Russia and the first among the CIS countries. This is evidenced by data on Russian foreign trade, presented to BelTA in the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia.
According to the Russian customs statistics, the Belarusian-Russian trade turnover in 2018 (together with the FCS calculations for unrecorded volumes of mutual trade) amounted to $ 35 billion 686.2 million. Compared to 2017, it increased by 10.8%.
In terms of trade with Russia, Belarus was bypassed only by China ($ 108.3 billion), Germany ($ 59.6 billion) and the Netherlands ($ 47.2 billion). Then after Belarus, Italy, Turkey, the USA, the Republic of Korea, Poland, Japan, Kazakhstan and France follow.
At the end of 2017, Belarus was also the fourth trading partner of Russia among all countries of the world and the first among CIS countries.
