The Directorate of the II European Games of 2019 and the Belpochta RUE presented four postage stamps dedicated to the upcoming multisports forum, BelTA informs.

“The cancellation of the first day of the official marks of the II European Games is a significant event for the Directorate and all people involved in the preparation of the games. First of all, we consider them not as a tool for postal payment, but as a means of promoting a multisport forum, since the stamps will soon spread Europe will be the heralds of a bright sporting event that we are waiting for in June of this year, "said fund director Georgy Katulin.

The event was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Sport and Tourism Alexander Baraulya, the First Deputy Minister of Communications and Informatization of Belarus Dmitry Shedko and the mascot of the games - the fox Lesik. It was he who sent the first postcard invitations with new stamps to the national Olympic committees of the countries participating in the upcoming forum.

The design of stamps was developed by artist Marina Vitkovskaya. They depict athletes performing in various sports, as well as the official logo and slogan of the II European Games. 

Stamps printed edition of 120 thousand copies. Their size was 40x20 mm. The sheets contain four marks and one coupon.

II European Games will be held June 21-30 in Minsk. The program of the forum includes competitions in 15 sports, and in eight of them the competitions will become qualifying for the XXXII Olympic Games 2020 in Tokyo (Japan). At the forum, badminton, boxing and judo competitions will be held in the status of European Championships. In total, 12 sports facilities will be involved, including the largest ones - the national Olympic stadium "Dynamo", "Minsk-Arena", "Chizhovka-Arena", the Palace of Sports. More than 4 thousand athletes from 50 countries will compete for 199 sets of awards.
