In Belarus, in 2018, for the first time in the last five years, an increase in the number of registered business entities was observed, Justice Minister Oleg Slizhevsky told journalists, BelTA has learned.
In 2018, more than 46 thousand business entities were registered in the country, which is 7% more than in 2017. Now the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs (USR) contains information on 1.4 million business entities, of which more than 402 thousand are active.
About 5 thousand various applications and notifications were submitted to the registration authorities via the USR web portal, which is 70% more than in 2017.
In 2018, all registering authorities were connected to the AIS “Calculation”, due to which it is possible to pay the state fee for registration of business entities through the SSIS.
The initiative of the Ministry of Justice to introduce the mediation of notaries during business registration has shown good results. For incomplete 2018, about 260 registrations were made with the participation of notaries.
